If you're good at school then you'll be good at work, if you're bad at school then you'll be bad at work. Try your hardest in school, it's good for you in the long run.

I was in middle school when I posted this and I haven't logged into this account in probably 5 years now. I've since learned that this was an extremely privileged and ignorant thing to say and it was wrong of me to post it. I now realize there are a good number of other factors that can affect your grades and I hope that anyone who is currently struggling in school does better and that my post doesn't discourage you. Just keep trying and if you need to take a break then take a break. Just don't give up.<br><br><br>I posted this a while back in r/rant and I posted it again in r/LetsNotMeet but I think this sub is best for this.<br><br><br>We all wanted to be the cool kid who doesn't do any of the work in school and still manages to get all A's. I am not that kid, I am the kid that tries her hardest and gets all A's. I don't know if I am the only one that thinks this, but if you don't try in school then you are more than likely not going to try in life and if you don't try then you won't get anywhere. I'm not saying everyone who doesn't try will end up like that but it's better to try your hardest than to slack off.<br><br><br>I was a very shy girl growing up and I knew that I had to try extra hard if I wanted to make it in this world. I met a girl when I was 12 who was really smart but she had the attitude that school doesn't matter. She was wrong. I'm 17 now and I'm realizing that school is a chance for us to practice being an adult. It's a chance to make mistakes and learn from them and if we take advantage of it then we can become really great things.<br><br><br>If you don't try in school, then you wont try in life and if you don't try then you won't get very far. School is your chance to practice being an adult. It's your chance to make mistakes and learn from them. Take advantage of it and you will be able to do whatever you set your mind to.
