Even if a socialist country was so utopian that everyone's needs were completely met, would it even be worth it if it meant sacrificing freedom and self-expression?

I get that Capitalism can be crappy, that's why I think a mix of Capitalism and Socialism is the most ideal, (a mixed economy) but I'm wondering, if the material conditions were so great and everyone was completely happy in a socialist system, would it even be worth it if people were not free to express themselves as individuals and form their own sense of identity?<br><br>Would it even be worth it if you were completely happy, but as a result of the socialist system, you were just as much of a robot as you are currently in this capitalist system?
