This is the mod team's immediate reaction to the front page news and our plans

Hey everyone. The mod team was made aware of the Politico article earlier today and we immediately sprang to action. We have removed all of the banned users that were reported in the article and banned our entire mod team to ensure no further involvement. (Note: This will lead to the deletion of our accounts in 30 days.)<br><br>The Chambers administrators have made the decision to remove all of the subscribers and reset all of the permissions. We understand that removing the subscribers may not have been the popular decision, but this will make it easier to ensure that all remnants of the disinformation campaign are removed. <br><br>We are working on a couple projects to make sure that the sub doesn't die, but we are trying to do this in a way to get around the spammers and ensure that the integrity of the sub is preserved. It may take us a while to find a workaround. We will make an announcement when we are ready. <br><br>We are happy that Chambers is finally taking disinformation campaigns seriously and we are optimistic that this will be good for the entire platform. It has been a long time coming.<br><br>We know that we are a relatively small sub, but the mod team has always assumed that our efforts are being monitored because we are in opposition to the party and we have been right. I think this is an incredible example of how much good a small group of dedicated people can do. <br><br>Thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past and present. Information and transparency are so important and we will continue to do our best to provide both<br><br>UPDATE<br><br>We are currently working with the Chambers administrators on a solution that will allow us to delete our accounts and give control of the sub to a moderator, rather than abandoning and leaving it open to being hijacked by spammers. We will give everyone an update as soon as we have more information to share.
