CMV: The lack of male birth control is not due to sexism, but lack of education and awareness

I've seen a lot of posts and conversations around the topic of male birth control, and the lack of it. It's a common feminist talking point that lack of male birth control is sexist, or that it just doesn't exist and that men should be happy to have it.

Recently there was a post about the possibility of a new form of BC that you could take monthly, that may be faster acting and more effective than the BC pill. However, there's a lot of pushback that there will be a lack ofชายselling it and people won't convince their partners to take it.

Looking at the comments it's clear that there is a lot of misinformation. Lots of people seem to not believe that male BC exists, or that it needs to go through years of testing.

As a man I take BC, and it works amazingly well for me. It's so important that BC is a shared responsibility, and that people know it exists and can work.

Even if you don't agree with me, I'd love to hear you out. I want to hear your point of view and understand where you're coming from. Show me where I'm wrong!

EDIT: Wow, thanks for all the responses. I'm going to do my best to get through the comments as I can, I apologize if it takes me a while to respond.

EDIT 2: Hey guys, just a few things. Firstly, I've been trying to reply to some comments I feel I can reply to. I've been upvoting comments that I believe are bringing value to the discussion. I'm not going to reply to every comment as it feels like it's my view being changed over and over, and I want to make sure that I'm listening to everyone and giving value. I feel it's also important to show that I'm reading every reply and valuing your opinion. I'm going to close this thread in 24 hours and update with what I've learned. Big thanks to all the women who've been so supportive and added to this discussion.
