We don't need to defund the police, we just need to hold them to the same standard we do most professions.

As a healthcare worker, if I improperly or incorrectly do my job I get reported, my license to practice gets taken away, and in some cases I could be held criminally liable. This is the same for lawyers, engineers, and many other professions.<br><br>You can't just fuck up at work and expect to keep your job and your certification to operate in that field. <br><br>I think the same standard should be held for police. If they improperly or incorrectly search someone, they should be held to the same standard. <br><br>Obviously this isn't a complete fix to the problem. But it would be a start.
