Why is everyone so scared of intimacy but they also want to have a special connection ?

I will be the first to admit, that I have been in a long history of toxic connections but I would never say that I don’t like intimacy or I don’t want a special connection with others.<br><br>But sometimes I feel like I am being judged for merely being interested in other people and genuinely wanting to connect with them when in fact, that’s all people want.<br><br>Why is it that we fear something we want so much? connections with others are what make us human.<br><br>I’m tired of being judged for being interested in people , connections and intimacy and not wanting to be alone.
