I feel like I have so many negative experiences to share as a teacher. This isn't one of them. Just the opposite. This is a post to recognize an outstanding principal at a school that is amazing because of the way she treats everyone at that school.

For the past three years I have worked for one of the most outstanding principals I have ever met. She is an inspiration, and we all love her. I'm a veteran teacher and not at all the gushy type. She just an absolutely phenomenal person. I'm so sorry if I ramble a little as I write this because I'm on my lunch break right now, but I just saw this post and wanted to share!

My principal is kind of a coach like one. I have been an educator for 16 years. I have worked for 5 principals and have never seen any principal handle issues like mine. She is one of the most fair, understanding, empathetic and amazing principals I have ever worked for. I have never felt so comfortable coming to work and have never felt so appreciated as I do at my school.

I don't even call her principal. I call her my "principal boss lady." I feel like we connect in a way that I don't with other principals I have worked for. I'm 38 years old and have been in education since I was 22. I have worked with both principals in their 60s and principals right out of their 20s.

Mine is probably in her 40s and I have nothing but outstanding things to say about her. When she first came to our school I admit I was a bit skeptical because I have been disappointed in other principals at my school. I have seen one principal absolutely destroy an entire school and then have the school shut down because of a huge drop in enrollment.

But when I first saw her interact with students and teachers, I immediately knew that this woman is something absolutely special. The one thing that I know about this woman is that she absolutely leads with empathy. When it comes to personal issues with parents, students, teachers, and staff, she always listens and is amazing at creating solutions.

She is one of the first principals I have ever met who absolutely wants to listen and be a solution provider when it comes to problems at school. She is absolutely amazing with students and is one of the first principals I have ever worked with who actually remembers every single student's name.

She is a relationship builder. She makes every single teacher feel like they are amazing and valued. She is always asking for feedback and wanting to know if there's anything she can do to improve and make our school better. When issues arise, she absolutely always handles them with grace, poise, and empathy.

She leads with grace and is just an absolutely phenomenal person. She's the first person I have ever met who wants to make absolutely sure that everyone at the school is amazing and happy. I have never felt so valued as I feel right now.

She leads with empathy and is an absolutely phenomenal person. She is one of the most fair people I have ever met. I really wish more principals were like her. She has inspired me to be a better person and to want to be a better educator.

I really wish every teacher had the experience of working in such a positive school environment, especially in today's educational climate. I am in K-12 education.

I absolutely love my career and I'm so glad that I have found a school that I plan to retire at. I know I feel like I'm gushing and rambling, but she's just an outstanding leader and personal friend and I hope many more teachers have the experience of working with such an inspirational leader as I do.
