My mentally handicap 20 year old brother is a jerk.

I'm not sure what to do with my brother. When he was 5 he had a seizure and it did a lot of damage to his brain. He now has the mental capacity of a 3 year old. When you talk to him he sounds completely normal but it doesn't take long to figure out there is something mentally wrong with him. <br><br>He was raised by my mom in a different city than me so I haven't been around him much until recently. My mom moved to the city I live in so her and my brother moved in the extra bedroom in my house. <br><br>My brother is 20 now. He is on welfare and doesn't work. He spent all of his free time playing video games and watching YouTube. He is lazy and has no motivation to do anything. He is rude to everyone he talks to. He is a dick and a bully and I see it. <br><br>My mom doesn't see this, she still treats him like a victim and a child. She sees him as her baby that was damaged and became mentally handicap. She is in denial. <br><br>I have tried to talk to her many times. She never listens. She just says that he can't help how he is and that I should be more understanding. <br><br>I have tried to talk to my brother. He just yells back at me and storms off. <br><br>No matter how hard I try I can't get them to see reality. I see the man he could have been and not the child he is. I wish he could be a better person.<br><br>I'm moving out soon and I will be leaving them behind. I won't abandon him, but I can't live there anymore. It is too much for me to deal with.
