YouTube Rolls Out ‘Diamond’ Award for Videos Surpassing 100 Million Views

YouTube announced that it is adding a new “Diamond” Play Button award for creators whose videos have been viewed more than 100 million times.<br><br>The new award was announced yesterday via a Twitter post from YouTube, which has been giving creators a physical trophy for reaching milestones like that since 2012.<br><br>However, the new “Diamond” Play Button award will be limited to videos that have reached the new milestone (100 million views), because channels with such videos will still be awarded the ruby play button for the channel.<br><br>YouTube has also revealed that more than 13,000 channels have surpassed the 100 million view milestone on a single video.
