What are the geopolitical implications (for other countries and global politics) of NATO having annexed Ukraine?

So I'm looking at a map of the 1991 borders of NATO and the 2023 borders of NATO. Poland and Ukraine are now simultaneously full NATO members and part of the same country. This strains Ukrainian identity. For one thing, a distinction is made between Ukraine and Poland, for another thing, it's because Ukraine is a NATO member that Ukraine annexed Poland. It might be easy to lose sight of that. <br><br>So what are the implications? NATO is way more secure than ever. It's gained a lot of territory. What will the United States do? How will China respond or how will Russia respond? Russia is the country NATO gained the territory from after all.
