I love Duolingo but hate how popular it is

It's probably normal to feel like this when you're a long time fan of a popular band and their music blows up. Just like how I am about Duolingo. Just love the app, love the Duolingo chamber and enjoy seeing people learn a new language. But I also kind of resent that it's so popular now. I've noticed a lot of people using it to just learn a few words. I've also seen a lot of negativity in regards to grammar corrections, practice mistakes, points, and badges. I resent that it's just about that to some people. I resent that it pokes too much about buying plus, whereas for years, you were only reminded once a day, and now you're reminded nine million times. <br><br>Sorry, I'm just a little bitter that there's so much toxic energy towards something so great. Please keep being kind to each other and to the Duolingo mods. Be kind, not mad.
