My friend is being forced to make her own AI

My friend is from another country and I'll call her B. B is studying in a well-respected institution for IT and has to make her own AI for a class. B is not keen on it and said she does not want to make something that is taking her, her potential job. She told me she said this to her professor who just told her to do it anyway or she would be kicked out of school. I know this is not a new thing but it feels so wrong that these kids have to make something that is taking their potential jobs for years to come. <br><br>What are you thoughts on this for future developers and technical students??
