I'm going to the doctor Monday, any advice, love?

I'm 5'7" at 250 lbs and I see my primary care on Monday. I'm going to bring up my weight and diet, love. I'm on track to lose a safe amount of weight per week, averaging 6/7/8 lbs per week, but I'm on a calorie deficit of 500 a day (2400 calories) and I'm a bit concerned about the deficit and if I should see a nutritionist. My BMI number is 39.5, so I'm not happy to be in that range. Can you ladies give any advice? Should I track my macros? Or just see a nutritionist and simply tell him/her my goal number and simply work towards that number? I'm looking at staying at 2400 calories, with at least 8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Thoughts, ladies?
