The genre of "SoL" irritates me to no end

"Slice of Life" is a genre centered around some unchanging, infinitely recursive, never-ending life events that happen to a group of characters with no plot.<br><br>The genre of slice of life is lazy as shit. I hate them so much. It's so clearly lazy to not need to introduce your genre or genre subplots, lazy to not ever have any real stakes that can be used, or to have any suspense whatsoever. It's so much easier to have nothing happen whatsoever in the story and to have the normal mundane events of your characters happen. I don't have anything against genre or genre subplots, it is just irritating that this genre exists. I also don't like how there's a universal assumption that SoL can be combined with literally any other genre/subgenre.
