My partner is infertile and I'm having an emotional reaction

Hey all. Been lurking on this forum since I started with fertility stuff, and thought I'd make an account now because I'm having an emotional reaction to the appointment we got out of today with the fertility specialist and I thought you all would be a good place to open up.<br><br>My fiancé (M38) is infertile. Low count, shape and motility. It was a long road getting to even get tested, after two failed IUIs and then one failed IVF insemination with donor sperm. I (F37) am android shape and have a pretty open ovulation window, so the sperm gets in no trouble. <br><br>But the specialist told us that her eggs are also of poor quality and it's even risking a miscarriage if she gets pregnant. <br><br>Of course, we knew this was a possibility - she's 38 and I'm 37, but I feel so defeated. <br><br>We've always wanted a big family and even though we've talked about the possibility of adoption, we haven't gotten there yet. And now we're told that if we want to have kids, we have to get donor sperm and/or donor eggs, and then consider a surrogate even though I'm otherwise healthy? I just feel so defeated.
