Here's a simple cheese sauce recipe to make the best Mac and cheese:

Step 1: Melt butter (1 Tablespoon) in a small saucepan on low/medium heat (whatever you prefer). Also, add all-purpose flour (1 Tablespoon) to make a 1:1 Roux, stir until it's lightly golden. Don't burn the flour!

Step 2: Add milk (2.5 Tablespoons) gradually to the saucepan with constant stirring. The sauce should be smooth and creamy. If it's too thick, feel free to add a little more milk!

Step 3: Bring the sauce to a simmer until it thickens. Then add your grated cheese (2 Tablespoons) and let it melt in the sauce. Stir until it's perfectly smooth before removing from heat.

Step 4: Add your cooked pasta and the grated cheese (100g) to the sauce and toss until they're all coated.

Step 5: Transfer the Mac into your favorite baking dish, sprinkle some grated cheese on top (30g), and bake at 180C (350F) for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown on top. That's it! Enjoy your cheesy Mac and Cheese!
