Does anyone else find the term "the boys" unpalatable?

I've been reading the series and I like it and all but the terminology really grinds my gears.<br>It's like, the boys are elementary school age kids. I'm not saying the characters don't have similarities to men, I'm saying the term "the boys" doesn't really fit.<br>Yes the term boys is often used to describe men<br>But the characters aren't really boys, so the term just looks unpalatable to me.<br>Still, I gotta say, the book and the show are really spot on in depicting how scummy a lot of men are, especially the stuff that the character Maeve has gone through.
