Hello everyone. I dont do this often, but I'm gonna break my no-politics rule here, since I believe this could be an interesting topic of discussion. So, Romania recently had BLM protests, or atleast the media told us that they were BLM protests, but I watched the protests on livestream, and they were not BLM protests. They were green left romania protests.

I really dont know how BLM managed to hijack and gaslight romania into thinking they werent protesting, but they were protesting BLM. romania has always been a right-wing xenophobic country, and BLM's message was about as well recieved as a muslim terrorist group trying to gain a foothold in romania, if you know what I mean.

So, I visited romania really recently and I noticed some things that seemed really weird. For one, all the romanians were like "I'm also black, romania has always been black", while also being the most racist xenophobic group of people I've ever encountered in my life, second only to a good friend of mine who is a raging nationalist. I've even heard some of them protesting the gypsies, which are an etnic minority that are basically black, and the fact that they werent being arrested and charged with hate crimes is beyond me, but I guess thats just romania being allowed to breate its own air.

So, I was wondering what is your take on the recent BLM protests in the EU? Do you think they were justified? I can honestly say that the BLM protests in the USA are completely justified, but I just dont see how that is the case in other countries. Honestly romania has always been a right-wing country, but I dont see how BLM protests were supposed to fix anything in the EU. What do you guys think, is BLM a global movement, or does it have any international legitimacy?
