AITA for calling my boyfriend a jerk for refusing to accommodate my brothers eating habits?

So my boyfriend and I have been dating for 11 months. In fact our 1 year anniversary would be this coming Sunday. <br><br>Being that it’s our anniversary, I wanted to plan a date night. So last night, I asked him what he wanted to do on Sunday for our anniversary and he said he wanted to try out a new seafood buffet that recently opened up near us. Now, i don’t eat seafood but he assured me that they had chicken so I said ok. Then I asked if I could invite my brother since it would be just after his birthday and he said it was fine with him. <br><br>I text my brother asking if he wanted to go to the seafood buffet with us and his response was “are they serving chicken? I don’t eat seafood” and I’m like lol of course they have chicken dumbass. <br><br>Then I showed my boyfriend the message from my brother and said “see, even the he eats there”. <br><br>Then I text my brother asking when and where he wanted to meet up Sunday and he said to meet him at the restaurant at 11:30 am. <br><br>Now Sunday morning rolls around and I get a call from my brother asking what time we planned on meeting up. I’m like dude, didn’t we say 11:30?<br><br>Then he said remember I don’t eat seafood so I’m gonna need you guys to eat first because I don’t eat until I’m full and I’m not eating there. I was like what the fuck dude? <br><br>He’s like “didn’t you know seafood makes me sick?” And I’m like no! <br><br>So I call my boyfriend and tell him my brother isn’t eating there. He’s like “thank fuck, I didn’t wanna eat with him there in the first place”. <br><br>I’m like what, you know he was invited. He’s like “invited? How the fuck did he even get invited? <br><br>So he comes and picks me up to go eat. I wasn’t gonna let him drive to the seafood place knowing damn well my brother wasn’t gonna eat there in the first place. <br><br>We eat and then I text my brother to see where he was. He’s like “I thought we were meeting up at the restaurant at 11:30 am” and I’m like dude we already ate. <br><br>Then he’s like “what’s up with your boyfriend? Doesn’t he know I don’t eat seafood?”. <br><br>I text him back and say how he could care less about my brother or his seafood eating habits. <br><br>He wasn’t too happy about that so I could tell he wanted to argue. <br><br>Then he said “if he was my boyfriend I’d break up with him for being a dick like that” <br><br>Then I said “if he was my boyfriend I’d break up with him too”. <br><br>He’s like “so are you breaking up with him?” And I’m like yeah. <br><br>So that was that. <br><br>My boyfriend agreed to do couples things with my brother if I got off birth control. So he could already tell how I felt about this.
