The best meal prep tip I ever learned...

I was about 220lbs when I started meal prepping, and I was prepping a whole weeks worth of food. (Sunday to Sunday) it took around 2-3 hours, sometimes more to get everything cooked and saved for the next day. I soon learned that I was throwing away tons of food because I was getting sick of eating the same thing for 7 days straight. I was eating chicken and rice for lunch and dinner, and even though there were "variations" they all felt like the same thing.

One day, I decided to cut my prep time in half, and do 2 different sets of meals for the week. One set (Sunday-Wednesday) chicken and rice, the other (Thursday-Sunday) Ground beef Tacos (beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, all the fixings)

It completely changed my meal prep game. I was no longer getting sick of the foods I was eating, and because I wasn't getting bored with my meals I was able to stop throwing food away. I still have one day a week where I just eat leftovers, but it doesn't feel like I'm stuck in a routine.

TL;DR; Prep two different types of meals per week to keep things interesting.
