Got yelled at for bringing a firearm into a public place

I live in the US (Arizona) and have a concealed carry permit. I was with my friend at a small pharmacy a little while ago, and I had my gun in my waistband. I forgot to wear a shirt long enough to conceal my firearm properly, so when I reached my arm around behind my back to grab something on a shelf, my shirt rode up enough to show the butt of my pistol. <br><br>The lady standing next to me noticed the gun and immediately started yelling at me in front of a bunch of people. I tried to explain to her that it's completely legal for me to carry it, but she didn't care and just kept telling me that it was inappropriate and that my parents didn't raise me right. A gentleman who was standing nearby told her that he was also carrying a firearm, and she yelled at him too. Even though it's totally legal to carry a firearm in public where I live, I still feel like I did something wrong somehow. Thanks for hearing me out. Stay safe, people.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>EDIT: I just did a little research, and I think part of the problem is that my concealed carry permit is Oregon, not Arizona. Although Oregon accepts AZ permits, The reverse is not true. So I guess I was technically breaking the law... I didn't realize that the permits didn't transfer both ways. I'll find out if you need to get a concealed carry permit from the state you live in, or if there's a better option. <br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>EDIT #2: Wow, I'm really sorry for writing this post. I didn't mean to stir up controversy, my friend was just visiting and I wanted to show him a little peyote, but then I was yellled at for my gun... I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but it is. And I can't seem to find anything about a national concealed carry permit that is accepted nation-wide, only ones that are state-specific. When I have more free time, I'll look harder. I'll keep this in mind, and I won't post again if I'm not sure. Sorry guys, this has been really enlightening. Thanks!
