What if the world became a sphere on purpose?

The world is basically a sphere already, but what if that was done on purpose, and the story of Adam and Eve was meant to explain that. Obviously it wasn’t religion that did it but what if the only explanation the early humans had for the roundness of the earth was a magical omnipotent god that made it so humans could live on it? It would be a long work. The world is about 24,901 miles around at the equator, so it would take about 24,901 years to make if humans could make a mile of the world a year. Humans have only existed for about 50,000 years ago. The earth is thought to have existed for about 4.54 billion years, so if a magical entity existed and created the earth it would have taken about 6 billion years to create the world, so that makes sense if that is what went into it. So that is what I think.
