I'm Latvian and I'm not sorry for what I'm about to say, for I've lived in your shithole for more than my own country. I regret it so much and I can't stress enough how dumb I was into thinking that your country was like home. People will + in the comments and tell me how I'm a racist (I'm not), how I'm brainwashed by Russia, the bs goes on. No, I'm writing this as an attempt to help you people see what you need to change about it. In this post I'll give my personal opinion as a person who lived in Lithuania for a while. I personally think that Lithuania is a place with great potential, but it doesn't make good use of it. Here are some key things that Lithuanians need to change about themselves. (PS if the word Lithuanian & Lithuania sound like "Lits" for you, it's because Latvian doesn't pronounce "u" after "L")

1. Learn more about your neighbours
The amount of people that don't know anything about Latvia is disgusting. I think every country has this stupid questions about the neighbour, but in my opinion that Lithuania is ten times worse. People are shocked when I tell them that we aren't a part of Russia. They have no idea of what's happening in Latvia. Do you?
2. Learn Russian
I think every country needs at least three languages to function well. This is the language that you should choose, not Spanish or Portuguese. Everyone talks about immigrants from the third world, but they don't see a bigger problem - your neighbours. How can the majority of you not speak Russian? Everyone talks about the power, but you don't see the power of Russia? How can you not know a language that the strongest country in the world speaks? How can you not know Russian, a language that has to be taught to you in school? I feel bad for the Russian immigrants that come to your country and speak their native language (which is Russian) and almost get lynched in the streets. Don't make fun of me, it's true. I've lived in your country. Learn Russian (Lits) people. It's not like you're any better then the Russians (Lits), you're far worse. You have no right to criticize them when you're worse then them. Learn Russian, you'll realize how shitty your country is.
3. Get more informed about the world
Most of you don't know about anything that's outside of Lithuania. You don't know anything about the world, Russia, America, Europe. It's such a shame. I'll never understand how you can be so stupid.

4. Don't compare your country to any other
Your country will never be like France, Germany, Britain, America, Estonia or Latvia. This country will forever be like a shithole. Stop comparing your country to others, realize your country's place and accept it. You will always be the shithole of Europe, so don't act like you're something you're not.

5. Realize that Estonia is better than you
Estonians are the first Baltic country to survive. They've build a better country in 30 years than you could in 1000. They deserve more respect from you then you deserve from them. They aren't afraid of Russia, because they're better prepared than you are. They're better at everything than you are, just accept it.

6. Realize that Russia is stronger than you
I'm not kidding, Russia is so much stronger than you are. There are so many of you who are brainwashed by the USA into thinking that Russia would attack you just like they did Ukraine, but they won't. Putin isn't dumb enough to attack you, yet most of your fucking country thinks he will attack you. Russia isn't scared of you at all, they're stronger than you are. You are so weak. You will never be stronger than Russia, this country will forever be stronger than you. You are weak and Russia is strong.

7. Stop thinking that you're better than Russians
The amount of Russians born in Lithuania who want to change their nationality is crazy. You're not better than Russians. Russians are better than you in every way. This country is shittier than Russia. Learn Russian (Lits) and see it yourself.

8. Learn your own history
Most of you don't even know your own history. How can you not know your own history?

9. Respect your neighbours
You're the least respected country in the Balts. You're born to be a neighbour to strong countries. Respect your neighbours. You should be thankful that they're your neighbours and not your enemies. Learn Russian (Lits), don't act like you're something you're not and respect others.

10. Be proud of your nationality
Lithuanians (Lits) are proud of their nationality, yet they make fun of Russians for being proud. They make fun of Estonians for being proud and in general they make fun of nationalistic people. Nationalism is a good thing. You should be proud of your nationality, every country is unique. But for you, it's different. Your nationality is shit. There's nothing to be proud of. Your country is in shambles. The only thing you should be proud of is the fact that you're not from Russia (Lits).
