Being a grown man and going to a restaurant alone is a sign of independence and maturity, and everyone should try it at least once.

I love eating alone. I love going on holidays alone. I hate depending on people when going somewhere. It's not that I'm some loner, introverted, anti social person, it's just that I enjoy doing everything alone, because I can do what I want whenever I want. I go to the gym at 5 am because the gym is empty at that time, I avoid going to the mall during weekends because of all the idiots who go there just to hang out, I eat at expensive restaurants alone because I can enjoy my food in peace. I got a partner and she's amazing, but she's got completely different interests than me, and I don't want to stop doing that stuff, so I do it alone.

Another thing is that I don't do things unless I *really* want to do it. Even when I was 16 and all my friends were losing their virginities because they didn't want to be a "virgin" anymore, I didn't do it until I found a person I loved. I'm not saying I'm some alpha male, or that everyone should be like me. Just live however you want to live, but if that's going to a restaurant alone, then so be it. I think its just that some people make fun of this, not because they think it's embarrassing, but because they themselves would probably feel embarrassed doing that. I don't understand how someone can make fun of me for doing stuff that doesn't effect them, and that I enjoy, but I guessbullies will bully.

Edit: Some of you are just angry at the world. I love it. Keep on making those assumptions.
