I don't usually think about it but today I got really freaked out thinking about what could've happened

Like the title of the post says, we were on a road trip last year. It was my brother (18 at the time) and his girlfriend (19) and me (18). I'll just call him A. So, for the whole duration of the trip (4 days), I had a weird feeling about getting kidnapped. I don't know why, it's like I was being watched. <br><br>So, we took a restroom break. There was this full parking lot, but we pulled into a parking lot in the middle of nowhere. I remember seeing a pregnant lady in her 30s walk out of somewhere. She was kind of asking about our little dog. I was sitting in the driver's seat and my brother was at the back so he couldn't hear. She said we should come and see the restroom with the cleanest water and make our dog drink it. I didn't answer and just sat there looking out of the window, looking at her, acting like I didn't hear her. Maybe she thought I was deaf. She came to my brother and said the same thing. He didn't answer either so she just went back to the woman at the cash register. I think they were talking about us but I'm not sure. <br><br>I told A what happened and asked if I should've been polite. He said he probably would've said ok and left me alone at the car. <br><br>I don't know. To this day, I think about it and I get worried. I could've been taken. Though it was a busy gas station, I was far from the crowd. I wonder sometimes if my dog would've even barked.
