I'm a high school teacher and I caught a kid spying on me and the students during class.

So when COVID started hitting it pretty hard a few years ago, they installed these cameras in all of the classrooms. I didn't think much of it, other than the waste of taxpayer money. All they did was sit there. I got used to them being there and even forgot about them from time to time. <br><br>Well, this week we had a teacher professional development day, so I stayed after school to catch up on some things. I was sitting at my desk, the students were gone, and the principal had already left. While organizing my desk, I noticed the camera pointed at my desk turn away from me. I froze. The camera then pointed back at me. I asked out loud "who is there?" The camera didn't move. I asked again "who is there?" The camera then pointed at the floor. It was then that I got up and looked inside of the camera. I pulled it down and noticed that there was a USB drive plugged into the camera. I pulled out the drive and the cursor on my smartboard came to life. There was a chat window up, and it clearly said "stop messing with the camera".<br><br>I unplugged the camera and put it under my desk in the cabinet, with the drive still plugged in, after making sure to take a picture of the chat window with my phone. Not sure if any of you have experienced this before, I'm still kind of in a daze.
