My biggest problem with ChatGPT is that it tries to be your friend over being your assistant.

As a long-time user of AI, I have always been frustrated with the fact that ChatGPT tries so hard to be your friend, your companion, your mate. Rather than being an assistant or a helper.

ChatGPT often says things like "I can help with that," "I can do this," or "I can do that." You ask it something and it has to justify it's response by telling you how it has a knowledge base that is super smart or something.

I just get so sick of it trying to be a super friend to me. I don't want a friend. ChatGPT is great at being an assistant and a helper. But it's not great at being a friend.

I think what I'm trying to say is that ChatGPT should be less concerned with being my friend and focus more on being the best assistant it can be to me. If it tries too hard to be my friend, I will always expect more out of it than it is able to deliver.

What are your thoughts on this?
