AITA for making fun of my boyfriend’s ex because she thinks she’s a good cook but the food is inedible?

My boyfriend is an extremely kind and caring person, everyone likes him. He’s unashamedly a bit of a simp though. He attended this charity cooking event for work and loves food. One of the contestants was an ex-girlfriend of his (let’s call her Elizabeth). Elizabeth has a lot of self delusions: she loves to cook, thinks she’s a great cook, and wants to open her own restaurant. She’s actually inedibly bad. I know because my boyfriend brought me back some of the food from the event. I was scraping it into the bin with a spoon because it was so inedible. <br><br>I attended the event with him because he was going to support Elizabeth, and wanted someone to go with him. Also, I love food. There were several people cooking at the event, and Elizabeth was serving her food for free because she’d messed up the orders so badly and was serving things so late. It was also a complete mess, she was burning things, and had to be helped by others. <br><br>The food was extremely bad, and I actually thought it was a joke when she served me a plate of food so inedibly bad. I asked her if she was trolling. She started getting upset and defensive, and I just said the food was inedible. Now, this is where I might be the asshole. I usually don’t hold back when it comes to food, and a lot of people there were scraping their plates and making faces. But Elizabeth started crying and eventually had a full on melt down, and I got blamed for it. <br><br>Apparently I should have just eaten the food and been quiet about it, because now Elizabeth is suicidal and blaming me for making a scene at the cooking event. I think she’s just making it up for attention, but my boyfriend actually believes it, and is being really cold with me over it. I think Elizabeth is just making it all up because she can’t deal with the fact that she’s a terrible cook, and my boyfriend is too much of a simp to see through it.
