Is it worth purchasing insurance for my mobile home?

I inherited a mobile home from my deceased grandmother. It's a 4 bedroom home built in 1988. We are currently living in it and intend to keep living in it for several years. My grandmother never got insurance on her home because it would add up to more than the home is worth, and she was living there herself so the loss wouldn't be too bad. But I'm not sure now whether I should get insurance on it. The home is in really good condition given its age, but it's not really worth much because it's so old. I've done some research to see what it would cost annually to get insurance on it and I think it would be at least $800-$1000 annually to get insurance on it, depending on the provider. If I pay $1000 a year for insurance on this home for 5-10 years, that's $10,000, minus any insurance claims I'd make. But if the home is completely destroyed by fire, flooding, etc., I'd be able to use insurance money to replace it. So my question is, for a mobile home that's already 35 years old and not worth much money, is it worth it to pay for insurance, or should I just take the risk and hope nothing bad happens to the home?
