So, what the fuck is going on with Tsurune: The Linking Shot?

I just watched the last episode, and it ends with "The second half will air in Winter 2024". I'm absolutely flabbergasted. It's been a long time since I've seen a split-cour where the first season doesn't end with a cliffhanger and the second season is already announced to air only a few months later. Tsurune is not even a hugely popular show where you'd expect there to be any rush to finish it as soon as possible. <br><br>I'm not sure if this is the first time a show is split in two right in the middle of a match, but I'd honestly be surprised if that was the case. It just doesn't make any fucking sense at all.
