Watched one of my "home recordings" from a movie called Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, and some of the dialogue is so similar it's not explainable.

I'm very familiar with the movie "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood." My wife loves the movie, and it's one of the most popular films my local used movie store sells, so I've watched it several times, one time reviewing it in audio form, so I have it memorized.

In fact, it's so well memorized that it almost seems fake to me at times, which is eventually one of the reasons I started to study the movie more carefully... I noticed that one of my "home memos" that I record and save for myself have been almost identical to dialogue in that movie, so I took the time to compare the dialogue and I came away with several odd instances. (I will spare you the exact quotes for obvious reasons.)

Here are some of the instances I found:

* one of the characters asks another if they want to go drinking with him eventually, and the one responds by saying the name of a movie star and the name of a song that the home recording caller says, replacing one of my friends' name.
* one of the characters says "that is a little crumby" when talking about the villain's "exploits," while a person in the home recording says that my friends and I are "a little crumby" for doing what we were doing.
* one of the characters tells the villain to "go to sleep," while a person in the home recording says, almost verbatim, to the same two people, to "go to sleep."
* one of the characters in the movie says "that is something out of a movie. Oh, by the way, we are in the movies, so we can say and do anything that we want, aren't we?" while one of the people in the home recording said "by the way, we are in the movies, so we can do anything that we want, don't you know that?" to the same two people.

It's called Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It's a movie about the infamous Manson killings, and I'm almost sure that it's a movie about me.
