What the hell is up with the shut down of Twitter accounts and the rise of the accounts with barely any followers/following and no tweets? (fake accounts?)

My Twitter account shut down without even a warning and now I have to wait 30 days. While this issue unfolds I decide to get on my wife’s account. Now I can’t help but notice a bunch of accounts with 0-5 followers and no tweets (but sometimes a bunch of likes) and with names with barely coherent names like for example @rretrrthhhhhhgnhhhrrr. They all seem to be very new (2023 and onwards). <br> <br>At the same time there is a trend with accounts with many followers shut down. Not to mention the removal of verified badges. <br> <br>Apparently even Elon Musk’s appears to have been shut down now. <br> <br>What the actual hell is going on?
