What happened to the other 85%? What did they do wrong? Why don't the media talk about them? Why do they only talk about the 85% who have mountains of debt?

Edit: our son made the Dean's List each and every semester. Every semester, the President of the college sends us a letter. Conversely, when the school sends out their yearly newsletter, the first page always mentions the "89% who had to drop out due to financial difficulties".

I believe it is a way to shift the blame to the parents rather than the school. our son worked a job 10 hours a week. We paid half his tuition. The school gave him a "$8000 scholarship that covered all our son's remaining expenses and books. This way, he could focus on his studies and not drop out like the 89% who go into debt.

We did not go to college. We made mistakes. We are not college students. We are parents who are trying to send their son to college but have no idea where to start. We are going to go to school next year.

This sub has been very helpful to us. You all our intelligent. You are like Einstein. But you have to understand that not everyone is Einstein.
