Guns are so much more than just a hobby

I bought my first gun on 9/10/11. Now I own 180 guns. I know it's way to many and I'm just trying to buy what I can when I can. I know I'm not the first person to start hoarding but my perspective is so much different. I know it's a hobby for so many people. I love seeing pictures of other people's collections but it's not just a hobby to me. I feel so grateful to live in a country where we can purchase any gun we want if we put our minds to it. My great grandma was killed in a concentration camp when my grandpa was just 8 years old. She was a German citizen. She begged him to leave the country when he was of age. I know guns aren't the answers. Nothing will ever bring back the people who were lost. I bought my first gun as a 24 year old female right after 9/11 because I felt so lost and scared. I didn't know what to do. I don't feel that way anymore. I feel grateful to live in a country where we have these freedoms. I know it's a hobby for so many people. I love seeing other people's collections. I love hearing their stories. I just think people totally forget that if we didn't have the 2nd amendment we wouldn't be able to have the other rights we have. We wouldn't be able to voice our opinions. We wouldn't be able to protest. We wouldn't be able to have a free press. Even though the media lies. Even though the government lies. Even though we have been so let down. I still feel grateful. I still feel like we have it better than any other country and we should appreciate it. I don't just buy guns because I like them. I buy them because I want my great grandkids to be able to buy guns. I want them to be able to purchase any gun they want. I want them to be able to have any gun they want. So I buy as many as I can and I lock them up and I don't touch them ever. I know it sounds crazy. Buying something I never touch. But I don't care I want my great grandkids to be able to have the freedoms we have. I want their country to be the same as it is now. I want them to be able to go to the gun store and purchase any gun they want. I would buy one of every gun if I could afford it. I can't but I try to buy guns that are popular right now. Nothing makes me more sad than reading about a country taking away people's gun rights. Sometimes I wish I was totally wrong and if we didn't have the 2nd amendment nothing would be different. I know I'm not totally right. I just hope. I know America will never be the same. I know our country is totally different than it was 100 years ago. I know our country will never go back to the way it was. I know the past is the past. We can't change anything. We can't change our perspective. We can't change our opinions. All we can do is fight for what we believe in and buy what we can when we can. I know I sound crazy. That's okay. I just want to leave the world a better place than I was given. I just want my great grandkids to have it better. I know I'm not the first person to start hoarding and I won't be the last.
