Why is it the less I go on social media the less i care about it

Why do I care less about whether I’m liked, swiped, or followed when I’m not in it’s toxic depths?<br><br>I feel like I’m suddenly being able to see it for what it is. It’s just a bunch of images put together in a collage of other people’s lives while they secretly fester in their own loneliness.<br><br>I don’t need to compare my life to what everyone else is doing and I don’t need the likes of what amount to total strangers online.<br><br>I didn’t have to think about any of this stuff before social media.<br><br>It’s becoming more and more clear the more I watch these people in their delusion of thinking they are important and interesting. They’re not.
