I've been a search and rescue worker for 13 years. I have dealt with some strange missing person cases in my time, but none of them compare to what happened two weeks ago.

Nineteen days ago a man named James hurried into our office. He was frantically looking around at our maps and seemed all out of sorts. As I approached him he rushed over to me and asked me if I was working the case of his missing daughter. I told him I was.

He immediately broke down and fell onto my feet and started wailing. I tried my best to comfort him, but it was no use. He eventually told me that he had been searching for his daughter non-stop for weeks and was ready to give up.

I could tell that he was on the verge of a mental break down so I figured I should do my best to calm him down. I convinced him to stay at a hotel for the night and told him that me and my team would search for his daughter in the morning. He agreed and I called him a cab to take him to a nearby hotel.

The next morning I met up with James at the hotel he was staying at and we drove to his house to begin the search for his daughter. Water was missing for 49 days at this point. I figured she was probably dead by now, but I didn't tell James that.

We searched multiple locations around James' neighborhood to no avail. It was as if Water had just vanished into thin air. James was getting ready to give up when he had and idea.

"Sara, a mutual friend of us and Waters was one of the last people to see Water. I'm sure she would be willing to talk to you, but she's a bit of a wild card." Was all James said about Sara before taking me to her house.

When we got to Sara's house she was passed out on her front lawn. She reeked of booze, weed, and god knows what else. James told me Sara was a drinker, but holy shit. I've never seen a white woman that age drink like that. James tried to rouse her but it wasn't working.

"Don't worry, I know how to get her to wake up." Was all James said before pulling out a bottle of Oxycontin and throwing them on Sara.

Sara started to scream and flail. Eventually she knocked James to the ground and started punching him. She then fell over and started seizure-ing. James had to hold her down and wait for the seizure to finish. Once Sara was able to stand up again, without falling over, she started to walk away.

"Wait, we need to ask you some questions." I said

"I'm not talking to you until I get some booze and something to take the edge off." Is all Sara said before she walked away.

James told me where one of the local liquor stores were and we went to it so Sara could get drunk, or more likely, just stop being hungover.

Once Sara was good and sauced we went back to her house and sat her down. She was able to answer questions so me and James sat her down and started asking her about Water.

"I was walking home from the liquor store when I saw Water in her car, asleep, at the park." She said

"Why was Water at the park?" I asked

"I don't know, I figured she was just waiting for someone or something." She said

Me and James exchanged confused expressions. Neither of us had heard of Water going to the park alone at night.

"What happened next?" I asked

"I tried to wake her up, but she wouldn't budge. I figured she was just high or drunk and I was gonna drive her home, but when I walked up to her car I noticed she wasn't in the drivers seat. She was in the passenger seat. There was nobody in the car except for her, but it looked like she was talking to someone. She looked dead behind the eyes though and I could tell something was wrong. When I looked in the passenger window I could see that she had a needle in her arm. I was mad at first but something told me that something was wrong. I looked in the backseat to make sure there wasn't a dealer or some shit but there was nobody. I figured she was just talking to herself and fuck it, if she wants to be a junkie that's her decision. It was 2 o'clock in the morning and I was tired and I was on my way home so I just walked away. That was the last time I saw Water." Was all Sara said

James broke down again. Sara started to cry too and I was about to when I got the feeling that something was wrong. Something in my gut was just screaming at me that Sara was lying about something.

"What happened next?" I asked

"I just walked home and went to bed." Was all she said

I waited for more but she just started sobbing again and I could tell she didn't want to talk anymore. I gave her some comfort and told her that me and James were gonna go to the park and search for Water.

James said he was gonna drive to the hospital so he could tell his wife the bad news. Water was his step-daughter. I'm not sure how close they were but I could tell that James was in a lot of pain.

It was 1 in the morning at this point and the park was closed. I told James I would just search it at 9 when the park opened but he told me to search it now or he would call the cops.

I told James to go to the hospital and tell his wife that Water was probably dead. James just cried and got in his car and drove away.

I drove to the park and only found Waters car. I went inside and found a needle and a bottle of adrenachrome. I figured Water must have been dead by now and was about to give up when I heard rustling in a bush. I went to the sound and found a piece of paper folded up on the ground.

I picked it up and unfolded it. There were a bunch of incoherent ramblings on the piece of paper. They appeared to be from Water. It talked about how she was better off without her parents and how she wanted to die. I figured water must have been depressed and killed herself when I saw the words "I'm glad I killed her".

I figured Water must have killed herself when I saw a name written on the bottom of the note "Sara".

I immediately rushed to Sara's house. When I got there I found Sara dead on the ground and a bottle of Oxycontin lying on the ground next to her. The bottle was open and there were pills scattered all over. I took out my phone and called 911.

They showed up 20 minutes later and took Sara's body away. They told me they were gonna do an autopsy and figure out if Sara had died from the Oxycontin or from something else.

It's been two weeks since the incident and I haven't heard a word from the police. I'm starting to think something supernatural happened. I won't tell you the name of the city I live in but it's not a big city. It shouldn't take the police two weeks to do an autopsy.

I'm scared. I think Sara may have killed Water and she was driven to death by a dark entity. I don't know what to do. I'm just a search and rescue worker. I don't know how to deal with this.

The police haven't called me in two weeks. I'm starting to think something is wrong.
