One night I woke up and my dad and his girlfriend were holding hands with my little brother.

My dad and his girlfriend would sleep in my bedroom because I slept in the living room of our 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the 3rd floor (no elevator). My little brother slept in his bedroom.<br><br>One night I’m awoken to my little brother (12 at the time) and my father’s girlfriend standing next to the couch… They were holding hands with my father. He had a very serious look on his face. His girlfriends face was dead.<br><br>“Yeah. Your dad and I are going to wake you up every hour so you can make sure we’re still in the apartment” she said.<br><br>I groggily said okay, and they went back to my bedroom. I fell back asleep (I was a heavy sleeper) A few hours later I’m awoken again. They’re standing next to the couch again, holding hands. Same thing happens. <br><br>“My dad and I are going to come out every hour to make sure you know we’re still in the house” <br><br>I nodded, and they went back to my bedroom. I remember regaining consciousness the next morning, and my dad making breakfast. I saw my little brother sitting at the table. I asked him “hey, did dad and his girlfriend come out, like, every hour last night to make sure they’re in the apartment?” I was expecting him to confirm and be like yeah I told you they’re nuts! Instead he just looks me dead in the eye and says, and I’ll never forget… “no they didn't, you were dreaming” A chill went down my spine. <br><br>I realized this was some form of hypnosis. I confronted my dad. He said… “Yeah I did that. But it’s not real hypnosis. It’s just called something else… (insert made up word here).” <br><br>This is a very very watered down version with the details I can remember. Just know that it was very very strange, and there were a lot of other very very strange things that happened.
