A bit of context: I'm a college student and I'm writing this short story for a class. I've spent the last three or four hours on a bus and so I decided to spend it writing and trying to get out as much as I could. I'm trying to write in first person perspective and so I made sure to flashback to some events in the story that took place at an art gallery, where my m.c. met one of the main characters.

I was thinking about body language and mannerisms, so I started acting out how my m.c. would react and move and how my art gallery curator would act and move. I read out loud in different tones and voices and practiced my facial expressions and I timed myself walking in different ways and practiced how my curator and my m.c. dance and move in a crowd. I have an aisle seat and the bus is about 3/4 full, so I've only gotten a few looks from people. I'm sure if I get up and walk at all, that will change.

So, I'm curious, what are some of the weirdest or strangest things you've done for your writing? What have you done with the aim of being as accurate as you can? What have you done just because you wanted to have a little fun? I want to hear it all!
