As you know, we've been trying to get rid of the "no feedback for feedback" rule, and replace it with a stricter alternative. After months of discussions, we've decided to introduce a new rule. You must provide feedback at least 60% of the time you get feedback.

This means that if you ask for 10 critiques, you need to give feedback on at least 6 of them, or you will be temporarily banned. This rule is to be rolled out not just on this sub, but also on our sister subs r/constructive_criticism, r/relationships, r/AmItheAsshole, and r/ethics.

**What counts as feedback?**

* Replying to someone's post with your honest opinion counts as feedback
* Giving someone advice based on their situation counts as feedback
* Upvoting a post without saying anything does not count as feedback
* Downvoting a post without saying anything does not count as feedback
* Replying to someone's comment to agree/disagree without giving them any advice or thoughts does not count as feedback

**How will this be enforced?**

* We will be giving people a warning the first time they break this rule, followed by a 2 week ban
* We will be giving people a 4 week ban the second time they break this rule
* We will be giving people a perma ban the third time they break this rule

**How to stay safe**

* Make sure to keep track of the posts you've requested feedback on, and the comments you've received
* Make sure to give genuine feedback on at least 60% of the comments you get
* Make sure to report any comments that you find spammy or low effort, as these comments do not count

We will also be posting a megathread every week for people to come and give feedback, this will make it much easier for people to give feedback.

We will also be introducing a system of "feedback credits", where people can buy credits to get more critiques without having to give as much feedback back. This will be very expensive, and should only be used if you desperately need feedback on something but don't want to give any back. More information will be posted on this system at a later date.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

UPDATE: We will not be posting a megathread every week.

UPDATE 2: The "feedback credits" system will also not being implemented.

UPDATE 3: This rule will not be implemented.
