My personal shoplifting story

Small town, 2 main grocery stores. One was family owned where my nana was good friends with the owner. We always were loyal to their shop but their fridge was a little outdated and often would have expired milk or go bad real quick. <br><br>The next shop was a big chain, a miles away and rarely would my parents take us there and rarely did we want to go. We often would run out of milk before we could make it there to buy more. So we would often take some from our neighbor who had a farm and often would have extra fridge full of milk to last them 5-6 days. It was our go to fridge for milk (they never cared to locked their fridge door and rarely locked their front door).<br><br>Small town where police could be there within 15 mins but somehow most of fridge food theft went unseen. 5-6 kids would often sneak next door to steal milk and YET most the time we got away with it. Some would get caught but most the time most of us would get away with it. <br><br>One time I was so dumb that I stole a full fridge worth of food and somehow most of us got away with fridge full of food and YET we all got away with it. We were only 10 but most of us knew the fridge food was worth 500-600$. Most of us were alone the only ones with parents struggling but somehow most of us had parents with some fridge food and often some would just bring it back but most of us would just keep it. <br><br>This went on for 6-8 months until we go accused of stealing and we stole the most most the time. Then, we got caught and my parents were the only ones to go to jail. My parents ended up getting almost 2 years for 10k fridge food. And 2k in fines on top of 10k $ in food that we stole but fridge food was worth more than that but somehow most of us only got charged for 10k$. <br><br>5 years later we still would often go to grocery store and steal but fridge food but most fridge food has locked fridge doors and cameras. <br><br>Sharing our story and would love to hear yours
