*If you're an expert in writing realistic dialogues, please tell me how you do it.*

Just like the title says. I know how to write "good" dialogue but I've never been good at writing truly "realistic" dialogue (a few good examples are the dialogue in the show "Friends" and the movie "Mean Girls").

I know the best way to tell if a dialogue is good is to read it out loud but I've read some dialogues out loud and it can sound good but still not realistic at all. For example, I know you don't usually talk in complete sentences and a lot of the time, you interrupt people mid-sentence but I don't know how to put that on paper.

What are some tips you guys use to create realistic dialogue? What is the best way to tell if a dialogue is good or not?
