Can't men get vasectomies?

I am so sick to my stomach that men have no access to birth control that is effective. <br><br>My husband (39) and I (29) have tried to have a baby for three years. We were completely ready to have one. We are financially stable, have good health and can take care of one. We would be great parents. We adopted a dog and he's perfectly well trained. We have adopted several cats and they are also well taken care of. We have several fish and we've even opened a aquarium store in our town. <br><br>But we adopted several outdoor cats. We fostered them. We tested them. Spayed/neutered them. We gave them shots. We found homes for them. Everytime we get a new cat we pay $500 out of pocket for all the vet bills. <br><br>We decided to have a baby. We tried and tried. After many failed attempts we went to a doctor. The doctor said I had PCOS. I've never even gained a pound my whole life!! I've been overweight maybe 10 pounds overweight my whole life! I still am 10 pounds overweight. I don't get it. <br><br>So I was told I couldn't have a child unless we did IVF or adoption. We both decided that we were ready and we would foster children. This month we got our license to foster. We did the classes (it was $1000) we did the license (it was $2000) and we are about to get a foster baby (we are on the waiting list). <br><br>I am calling to my senator and representative to support grants and programs for people who need to do invasive processes like men getting vasectomies. I am calling to my senator and representative to support training for foster parents, foster kids, foster homes. I am calling to my senator and representative to invest in education for foster kids. <br><br>I know there's a lot wrong with this post but I'm crying and typing this on my phone at 2AM so here we are. I'm not done speaking and I won't stop until men have access to vasectomies. Or I'll just give up but I hope I won't. <br><br>Edit: We are adopting a baby in 2 weeks!!! I am so so excited. I'm so tired too. We just got the call. But I'm so excited. My husband told his boss he is taking a month off. It's time for us to finally be dads!
