What’s the most historically accurate army that could be recreated today?

Assuming they could all be armed with the exact same weapons they used back in the day. I’m leaning towards the US Army during WW2, I think they were far more good at the modern way of war than any other army if they were brought to the modern era.<br><br>Also, for the sake of the question I’m including everything that would otherwise be a bit of anachronism, such as the British Army’s Welsh archers, the Mongols’ horse archers, etc.<br><br>What do you think?
