Why is everyone all of a sudden praising Ashkenazi jews for their "high IQ"?

I've always seen a bunch of loathing towards jews, but now it seems like there's a strong conditioning to praise them and talk about their high iq, whatever tf that means.<br><br>I've lived in a city with a lot of them and it didn't seem like they were anymore intelligent than the rest of us. It seems like they've just had a lot of opportunities because of their wealth. A lot of them are doctors, it doesn't make them anymore intelligent, it just makes them wealthier.<br><br>The way people talk about their "high iq" reminds me of how people praise whites for thinking they discovered all these lands that were already inhabited.
