I saw a man who disappeared into thin air right in front of me

In the 90s I was on a business trip in a city about three hours from my home. I had the afternoon off and spent it at a shopping mall. I was taking a break in the food court and I noticed a guy in a T-shirt and jeans walking around the food court. He was acting strangely and I found it entertaining to watch. I don't remember what all he did but the way he moved reminded me of a guy who was on some kind of upper drug. Maybe it was the speed of his gait or his mannerisms. I don't know.  I just know I thought he was on something.<br><br>He was pacing back and forth in front of me along the wall that separated the food court and the central part of the mall. It was kind of like a short hallway. He paced back and forth along that hallway right in front of me for several minutes. In retrospect, it might have been just a few seconds but it felt like minutes.<br><br>I was looking at something on the table when I looked up and he was gone. I scanned the area and couldn't find him. I walked over to the hallway and looked around. He was just gone. I walked around the entire food court and surrounding mall area and he was gone. I never saw him again.<br><br>This bothered me for years. I have no idea what happened to him.
