How Do I Break Into Tech Writing/Editing?

Hey all! I’m currently pursuing Tech Writing/Editing. I have two degrees: History and Communications. I have no real “technical” background, and 90% of the tech writing jobs I’ve looked at have all asked for some sort of coding and engineering background. I’m currently working two freelance/remote writing gigs for my school, so I’ve got a ton of practice, but I’m still having trouble finding a route in. Has anyone else had success in this? What are some tips? Thank you! <br><br>TLDR: I’m pursuing Tech Writing/Editing and am having trouble finding a way in without a “technical” or coding background.
