I'm finding it really hard to break the habit because there's a lot of social pressures to dress well for my age and gender group. This is my main excuse but I know that's ridiculous. I'm scared to reach a point where I might run out of clothes but that won't happen anytime soon. I have no idea what to do, I feel like something is inside of me forcing me to buy clothes. It's stressing me out. I don't even like shopping lol

I just want to shop for food and household items, maybe the occasional book or plant. I don't want anything else. I don't want to have to feel like I have to look good all the time, it's exhausting.

I'm from the Northeast US and it's cold here, I feel like I don't have enough clothes for all types of weather and that's my main excuse to keep buying. I also feel like I have nothing to wear a lot of the time. I don't know what to do and it's making me really upset. I just want to be happier and I feel like minimalism is the path to that but I just can't seem to stop buying clothes. I also feel like I'm not doing it right because I'm not immediately throwing everything out. I want to ease my way into it but I still keep buying lol.
