Alcohol is genuinely just terrible, it’s so normalized and nobody really thinks of it as a drug, it just seems to be exempt for some reason. I don’t know if this is the case for other parts of the world, but in every single British highschool there are students who drink whole bottles of vodka at lunch and nobody bats an eyelid, you’d get expelled if you had a joint in your locker but everyone just lets that go.

I’m 14, not that I think it matters, and I’ve never had a single drink but I’ve seen how it affects other people I know and it doesn’t look fun. I’d have a lot more faith in humanity if alcohol was banned, but that will never happen.

If I’m just overreacting/being an uninformed teen then just let me know, but I’ve just never understood why alcohol can be legal and everyone’s fine with that.
