Hello, I am just a kid, not even 13, so this is my very first time posting on this site. This is kind of a long post.

When I was 6 years old, I was at this school for both first and second grade. It was a pretty good school, but it had terrible security. Everyone knew how bad the security there was, even the higher ups, but they didn't really do anything. Walking up to school, you just walked in, no one checked you. Same applied to the bus, the gates, the front door. I remember that my Mother would never stay on the campus with me, but walk me to my classroom where she would go in, check the teacher, and make sure my safety. One of my classes was the library, and it was right next to the cafeteria. It was always a big party in the cafeteria, not necessarily a bad one, but too loud to notice anything.

One day, I had to go to the restroom, so I had to leave the classroom. It was a pretty normal day, so I didn't think much of it. I noticed a man, he was probably in his 30s or 40s, he was dressed in a suit and tie. He was sitting alone at a table near both the classroom, and the cafeteria. I waved at him, and he waved back. For whatever reason, I started to feel nervous, so I tried to find a teacher. As I said earlier, the cafeteria was pretty loud, so most of the teachers weren't really paying attention to us students, but my teacher, Mrs. Rabalais, was. She was like the mom of the classroom. She was always watching us, checking our work, talking to us, making sure we were safe. She was a very smart woman, and a very attentive one. She noticed me waving at the man, and she followed my gaze. That's when she saw that he was waving at me, and she wasn't happy. I saw her make her way through the sea of students and tables. She got up to the man, and said something. He said something back, and I'll never forget what she said. She said, "I'm not going to let you hurt him. I'm going to take him back to his classroom, and call the police. If I see you again, I'll call them immediately." She then took me back to my classroom.

For the next few months, I didn't see the man again. It just seemed like a bad memory to me, but that feeling of nervousness had changed into fear. I didn't really feel safe. Mrs. Rabalais would always keep an eye on me, but still, my fear just kept getting worse. 5 months had passed since the encounter, and I still hadn't seen the man. Mrs. Rabalais and my Mother were always on the lookout. We had even told the principal, and put them on the same lookout. It had been 5 months, and all the bad feeling had went away.

I was walking to school, it was a sunny day, so I was really happy. I was walking up to the front door, when I noticed the man again. He was just standing there, looking at me. I tried to run away, but he grabbed me and dragged me behind the school. I was so scared, I was about to cry, but I saw Mr. Rabalais, I'll never forget what he said as he ran up. "If you hurt him, I'll shoot you. I won't let you hurt him." He then pulled out a gun and shot the man in the head. I was so distraught, I didn't know what to say, all I could do was cry. I was crying for about a month, I couldn't sleep, I would just cry, I couldn't stop crying. I eventually stopped crying, but I never forgot what happened. That's why I'm posting this now.

If I didn't have Mrs. Rabalais, and Mr. Rabalais, I might have been kidnapped, or worse. I'm not sure what would have happened, but I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't have been good. So to that man, and anyone else like him. Let's not meet.

Edit: I changed 3rd grade to 2nd. Please keep reading and watching, I'm getting a lot of support, and it means a lot to me. Please keep reading, and watching!
