If AGI is possible, why isn't Elon Musk sprinting on the AGI treadmill? (i.e. why isn't he doubling down?)

In the AGI treadmill, the faster everyone else runs, the faster you have to run to stay ahead. If you stop or slow down, you fall behind.<br><br>Elon Musk is the perfect person to sprint. He's one of the most wealthy, smart, and hardworking people in the world. He could also rally the smartest people in the world to work for him.<br><br>If AGI is possible, why is he "skipping class" to pursue other things like hyperloop, starship, brain machine interfaces, fusion, and more?
